Elizabeth offers therapy through a holistic, person-centered lens. She looks at every aspect of her clients life and uses their personality, strengths, and resources to help them approach the issues that brings them to therapy. In order to use these approaches she finds that it is best to work with clients age 14 and over.
Elizabeth specializes in working with people who struggle with Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Major Depressive Disorder, PTSD, and Bipolar Disorder. She utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness as modalities to treat the aforementioned disorders. Also, with certain teenage clients, she may utilize techniques from Play Therapy if and when appropriate.
Elizabeth has worked in various mental health settings including community mental health, private practice, and a partial hospitalization program. Her passion is to help those who are struggling with anxiety and depression especially as it pertains to life stressors and life transitions.
